"Say what you like," we shall be told, "the apocalyptic beliefs of the first Christians have been proved to be false. It is clear from the New Testament that they all expected the Second Coming in their own lifetime. And, worse still, they had a reason, and one which you will find very embarrassing. Their Master had told them so. He shared, and indeed created, their delusion. He said in so many words, Ďthis generation shall not pass till all these things be done.í And He was wrong. He clearly knew no more about the end of the world than anyone else. It is certainly the most embarrassing verse in the Bible."(Matthew 24:34)

Matthew 24:34:Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
Prosperity DoctrineÖ is regarded by the sheeple as true, by those who can think for themselves as false and by the power mad and money grubbers asÖ useful.(Seneca the Younger paraphrased.)

Seeker Friendly Truth AvoidanceÖ (ditto.)
Dry Bones Intellectual ObfuscationÖ (ditto.)

Socialism (Unions, Greenies, Social (un) Justice Thuggery)Ö (ditto.)
ITDTs are regarded by the power mad and money grubbers as evil and dangerous.
Jerffersonís Limited Government IdeasÖ (ditto, i.e. evil and dangerous.)
Take home point:Bad doctrine church is spiritual brother to socialist enslavement.Wrong church and wrong government take money and power as they blind. They will not self-correct, nor be transparent nor get good.
Take home point:ITDTs want you to believe the tragic viewpoint of Greek/Jewish/Gothic-Christian wisdom, which is that man and manís institutions can be self-asserting, greedy and power mad. Thus man and its institutions must dedicate themselves to mutual self-restraint, which coincidentally, is how man and its institutions are God-indwelt.Liberty, which is mutual dedication to self-restraint, stops hell and brings heaven!
Tie me up until the great, awaited, hoped for denouement,
And then Iíll be free!
Tie me up and have your popular, broadcast Christian way,
Until I can see!
The first shackle: the rapture,
Causing fear and laziness,
Second: eternal security,
Causing supine craziness.
Tie me with prophetic jabberwocky,
Those are real good binds!
None on earth and not even God,
Can follow their minds!
Tie me with seeker-friendly-truth-avoidance,
Then I can be a fun beast!
Seeker-friendly allows all abominations,
No complaints in the least!
Tie me up and rope me up,
Tight bind me: ever more!
Prosperity! Yeah, baby!
Now that is a whore!
Prosperity preachers receive their monies: so saintly,
While we buy a foul, greedy lie,
That give-to-get isnít a big self-serving Ponzi scheme,
Like a shoplifterís alibi!
Tie me, bind me, fill me,
With total nonsense!
Wrap me with mojo-emotion,
Any evil pretense!
Or just plain old do-nothing-worship-weakness,
And old-fashioned truth-avoidance,
I can be propagandized: any bad thing,
In obsequies compliance!
Bind me up even more,
And choke-tie me bound down!
I might be God-bearing,
And bring heaven around!
Tie me with tithes and endless tax-and-spend fees,
Tie me with sailing ship anchor-chains of great guilt,
Tie me with uncritical thought immersion,
Itís how empires of blind-leading-the-blind are built!
Empires of emotional insanity,
Built on foundations of sand,
Built by cruelly tying me up,
Your shackled Christian man.
Iím a full-bound-up man,
Tied until denouement,
Blinkered until In That Day,
A day of improvement.
A day when God must manifest,
In unbound-by-wrong-doxie persons,
A day when rapture and the rest,
Are cut off by orthodox conversions.
Tied up until denouement,
Then free-in-God at last!
No limit to God manifesting,
When bad doctrines are axed!
The free Christian so happy,
To be, hurrah! God-indwelt!
Will find it odd that for so long,
Ties were what believers felt!
Ties make prisoners,
Prisoners of thought,
Get free, oh captives,
From what weíve bought.
Weíve bought lies as Christians,
Antithetical to indwelling!
Now, In That Day: Denouement,
We buy freedom that God is selling!
Oh denouement, oh denouement!
Cut loose lie-ties, and God lives in,
I and you!
Oh freed one, oh freed one,
Cry not for what freedom has cost!
Help others, help others,
Tied up in insouciance: still lost!
Yes, people will cry when denouement comes,
Narrowly avoiding hell,
Weíll all cry big tears of happy sadness,
In That Day, weíll wail.
As Pontius Pilate said to Ben Hur in the 1959 movie of the same name, as he discussed the downfall of bad man Messala: "What he did had its way with him... Where there is greatness, great government or power, even great feeling or compassion, error also is great. We progress and mature by fault." Word to the wise of broadcast Christianity: GET READY TO MATURE BY FAULT.
A lot of what passes for broadcast Christianity, might by history be viewed as mere insanity and self-asserted personality worship. The sheep have been fed ego of persona worship, and the poorly fed sheep are mis-shapen and confused by eating such disgusting dust-of-self-deification.
For thirty years the broadcast leaders of Christianity have received virtually no, perhaps absolutely no, correction. And maybe there is a God that is tired of such wolves-in-sheep's clothing. The warning is this: "What has been done will have its way."
It ain't the world that will be corrected! It's Church!
Once a Wise Mouse traveled abroad to visit a strange land called Public Mouse Educationland. There he saw cats (of all things!) teaching young mice to love cats!(Back in Wise Mouseland, mice teach mice to beware of cats!)But in Public Mouse Educationland, young mice were taught by old cats, who not surprisingly, ATE the mice after they grew up!
How convenient for the cats! thought the Wise Mouse.Cautiously, he asked a Very Old Cat if their cat-taught mice ever suspected something was wrong.
Why yes, Mr. Wise Mouse from Wise Mouseland! Here at Public Mouse Educationland we sometimes are pestered with questions from bothersome mice!
What do you do? asked the Wise Mouse.
That's easy!We send them to Wise Cat Church!Who do you think taught us our tricks?
Thus ends this parable about political and clerical mystic tyranny, tyranny which stops cogent thinking, stops honest questions and stops greater love and blinds all.
Except I must add that the Wise Mouse, at no small risk, kept visiting the poor, mind-enshackled mice in Public Mouse Educationland. And he'd try to talk sense to them. And, he even talked to the cats!
Why?The Wise Mouse from Wise Mouseland loved everybody and everything. He believed the poor mice and cats in Public Mouse Educationland had a cheap sort of love, a cheap love that was killing their spirits and making them blind!
So the Wise Mouse kept coming back to the land of mind-enslaved cats and mice hoping the time had come for some, if not all, to see!
